Maybe take a look at older animations/cartoons and see how use iconography to display being "stunned"?

For the monkeys, I would test either the flash/shake/both and if you haven't already, make the stars circling above their heads more standout even more, since they kinda blend in with white on white?

And for the cymbal monkeys, to me it wasn't always very visually clear that they were "stunned" after using the AoE attack, so I had to rely more on the SFX to make sure I could hit them

I mean for dashing, I'm more concerned about inputs that could put strain on the player(s) hands?

2 things: When I fought some enemies/boss, I had some issues with enemies not being very clear/obvious what they're telegraphing (especially the boss when they're jumping around) and finally, spamming/holding the dash button can be repetitive
