HAPPY 10TH, SPLATOON!!!

i'm so happy to see this series still growing to this day, i love those funny little squids,,,

to show my admiration, i wanted to take some time to learn the art style and remake some old 2015-era ocs!!!

Susi (23, She/Her) - Octoling Girl with a medium skin tone, having pink-purple hair (a large octopus tentacle coming off to the side, and a ponytail), a large sweater resembling "Dark Matter" from the Kirby series, cyan pants with 3 horizontal cuts on the side and sandals. Her most prominent feature are her unusually large eyes, resembling that of a common Octarian.
- Not a lot of thoughts... (Thinks soap only comes in liquid form)
- Never turfed, but wants to own an Inkbrush.
- Imitates Shiver's choreography on a regular basis. (Is a HUGE fan of Shiver... and Deep Cut, for that matter)

Koral (23, She/Their) - Inkling Girl with a light skin tone, having messy blue-magenta squid tentacle hair, an olive green shirt, dark jeans, and dark tan socks. She dons a keychain that hangs from her pants and earrings on her ears.
- Really lazy.
- Doesn't like to openly share her interests* ... *(Secretly listens to the Squid Sisters!)
- (Secretly!) Callie fan, therefore? Roller user.

Percy (22, He/His) - Inkling Boy with a fair skin tone, having elegant orange-green hair (with a goatee to top it all off), a dark blue patterned buttoned shirt, beige pants, and purple shoes. His fashion sense is not that fresh.
- Timid, but tries to keep an open mind.
- Sharp reflexes, but not confident enough to believe in his ability.
- Marie fan, therefore? Charger user.

Tobey (24, He/His) - Octoling Boy with a brown skin tone, having green-salmon octopus tentacle hair (like that of a Blooming Onion), a light olive green shirt, gray hoodie with rolled up sleeves and blue accents, red baggy shorts, and lavender-gold-cyan shoes. He sports red tinted glasses and headphones with a pink glow to them.
- Somewhat stubborn in attitude.
- Adrenaline junkie with a knack for tech, owns a Nautilus 79.
- Shows some level of respect towards every idol, moreso Off the Hook, but that's about it.

Susi + Koral = Roommates.
Koral + Percy = Childhood Friends.
Percy + Tobey = Coworkers.

as much as i appreciate the existence of places that document the inner workings of games like tcrf and whatnot, i sometimes find myself wishing playground/magazine rumors were prominent again

i miss spending my afternoons attempting various ways to unlock waluigi in sm64ds 🥲

entirely fair, i don't think the sprites are BAD bad but i just feel like maybe they could've looked a tad bit better?? ig?? lol

as for the camera, yeah i'd say they did a good job on it

i like to consider this to be my favorite 2d mario on a portable console, but overall i'd rank this as my 3rd favorite (world, wonder, land 2)

if it'd had better physics, wasn't limited by the screen size, and the sprites weren't bad-ish, it'd be #1, but it's fun to go back to from time to time!!!

Due to the unique way Super Mario Bros. stores its maps, its level designers were at the mercy of the decorative hills and bushes when placing bottomless pits. While the pits can be placed freely, the decorations are non-negotiable and dictate the level design.

been practicing the whole "make it exist first, polish it later" mentality lately and WOW does it make a difference

it was weird at first putting math in a drawing function (waow) when i was coding The Loppy™ earlier, but it felt good organizing it afterwards!!!
