China (under the CCP) undermines the sovereignty of every western country when it suits it. Canada is right to trade with China, but should be very careful not to become dependent on them - the CCP uses trade as coercion - as Japan and South Korea and many others have faced from time to time.

So, the obvious next question the reporter is supposed to ask contrasts her comments back to her with respect to January 6... "When you perpetuate violence against a government because of ideological reasons... to resist and perpetuate violence, that is the definition of domestic terrorism"

The Department of Brownshirts

Following the playbook of all the other dictators...

Firm resistance from TACO?
January 24, 2026 at 11:37 PM
Ok, but what is it?

They use satellite imagery of all of the storage sites, and carefully compare latest images to pre-war versions.

Now the Russian state heads unavoidably for the void. India might have credibility if they'd done it a lot earlier, China can´t absorb it all, and can´t afford secondary sanctions.

So, will the Toddler In Chief force China to follow suit? Because China is his biggest rival.

I'd bet London to a brick that they didn't dare send any Russian pilot into NATO airspace after their Estonian experience.

Old Soviet joke "On Aeroflot, we have three classes. Fourth class, fifth class, and PIGS!"

The errant countries are left with the EU structure and costs unless they also exit, in which case it can be picked up by the new entity. Obviously oversimplified example, but the current model is naive.
January 23, 2026 at 2:12 PM
They all exit the EU, dissolve the trade block and immediately form a new trade block, where voting membership requires ongoing compliance - e.g. obligations of members persist, but voting rights cease until shortfall is remedied.
January 23, 2026 at 2:10 PM
Yes, that's true - and it's a deep flaw in the union. It can be fixed, but it requires radical action - e.g. say 23 or 25 members enter into a multilateral treaty to reconstitute the EU with its shortcomings resolved.
January 23, 2026 at 2:10 PM
Assuming free and fair election...which is far from assured
January 23, 2026 at 12:16 PM
If Hungary applied for EU membership today, it would not qualify. Therefore, it should either forfeit its voting rights on EU matters or be disbarred altogether.
January 23, 2026 at 12:14 PM
Apparently, it's all part of the "master strategy". Suck it up Russians. Your economy is suffering from karma. No matter how bad it seems now, it's going to get a lot worse recursively...it's just the consequences of your 'strongman' delusion and history of living a death cult "lifestyle".
January 23, 2026 at 9:22 AM
The far right is not invincible. The far left is the other side of the same coin, and can be just/almost as damaging - or at least polarizing. Both bad

Centrists + rational left and right must identify common values and the guts to stand up to the dictator regimes. Ukraine is the tip of this war.
January 23, 2026 at 7:19 AM
Yes, it's incomplete. It should say "Thank you for giving your attention to this fecal matter"
January 23, 2026 at 2:25 AM
Russia needs to be broken, or this will just be rinse and repeat - as it has been for centuries.

Negotiations begin with Russia's unconditional surrender. e.g.

- war criminals turned over
- FSB control transferred to DIU
- reparations paid
- kidnapped children returned
among many other things
January 23, 2026 at 2:19 AM
It's worse than that. Putin asked for Witkoff because he has Russian business connections and was already known to one of Putin's money men. Corruption much?
January 23, 2026 at 2:02 AM
This idiot would be out of his depth in a rain drop. He's an empty-suit puppet.
January 23, 2026 at 1:56 AM
Any agreement with Russia is only as good as previous agreements with Russia - such as the Budapest Memorandum
January 22, 2026 at 10:55 PM
Yes, unfortunately, leopards don't change their spots.
January 22, 2026 at 10:53 PM
Nothing good will come out of talks between Putin, Kushner and Witkoff. Unless you define "good" as "good for lining the pockets of Kushner and Witkoff with the kleptocrats ill-gotten gains"
January 22, 2026 at 9:29 PM
No. Mostly on McConnell and the other GOP senators who prevaricated then wimped on impeaching "because ...only a few more days...". Garland too, but the primary wimps were GOP wimps.
