In my experience activism has always been that way. Volunteerism too. Honestly it's probably one of the reasons I've stayed organizing for so long, to be away from men.

A lot of these guys think girls should be married off shortly after puberty. Their spin is going to be "well the girls' fathers aren't legally allowed to protect (control) and discipline (beat) their property, that's liberals' fault."
