Can you truly assess causal associations relying only on spontaneous reports (of adverse drug reactions)? In this pre-print (t.co/5Z8LrXfxNN ) we lay some groundwork to guide & qualify causal inferences on spontaneous reports using DAGs. Much fun & more work to do, so send us comments! 1/
