Got a problem with a government agency? Fix it, don’t destroy it. No organization is 100% bad. Burning these Fed agencies to the ground means that, when you realize you actually need “whatever worked”, rebuilding it will be WAY more expensive.

I spent a lot of my business career in sales. I was taught that you always ask “open-ended” questions…those that cannot be answered with a simple yes or no.
That’s doubly true when you’re seeking to help. Saying “How can I help?” is far more powerful than “Can I help?”

One of my all-time fondest memories was serving as Chief Judge for the first two Interbike Mechanic’s Challenges. This shot was of my friend Ed Reynolds, one of the finest people I’ve ever met and a spectacular wrench. I miss my days with the PBMA.
