Republican AND democrat bots both existed on Twitter. They both suck. Elon did nothing about and most likely helped create one side of them.

TLDR: Russian bots and a fake perception of popularity convinced U.S citizens to vote a certain way because low tier memes and dunking on vulnerable people is easier to understand and participate in than: understanding legislation, policies, and actual, real, non-imaginary, existing, problems.

Is going to be seen whether it’s ACTUALLY popular or not. A naive person would be susceptible to thinking a certain opinion or position is truly popular if they are forced to see accounts supporting that opinion or position—especially on the world’s largest social media network.

Political social media accounts are not inherently bad but when a platform is posed as an equal canvas for people to post whatever they want and then it becomes the worlds biggest online communication hub and then gets purchased by someone with a clear and non hidden political agenda, that agenda
