If you’ve ever idly wondered why women are having to go to court to fight for their jobs when they are told they need to submit to trans-identified males, here’s a good article to read. (Written by a man, for those of you who can’t cope with female journalism.)

My god, the details are so maddening. This was an incredibly dangerous and vile male prisoner - a 6 foot tall paedophile - that she was having to work with. And he was listed as male on his records.

Excellent news: a Bristol venue that cancelled a British Jewish band’s gig in May, after intimidatory hassle from local anti-Semitic activists, has made a full and decent apology and is also taking good practical steps. The Equality Act applies to everyone, and is there to stop rabid activists.

Both of the perpetrators from last night’s horrendous train knife attacks are British men.

Actually, some asylum seekers can work, because they’ve been waiting so long for their claim to be processed AND they meet certain professional criteria. Nuclear scientists are on the Home Office’s shortage occupation list.

Haven’t you read the article? Nobody is being “excluded”. It’s just that the 5 founder/owners are women - and isn’t that refreshing and wonderful? I think it’s brilliant. But there are going to be many contributors, both women and men. One is Philippa Perry, wife of artist Grayson Perry.

This Sunday, 10.30am. Come and show the residents of this hotel that the small number of Wetherspoons patriots hanging around outside having a little ‘protest’ are not representative of Bristol.

I wonder if the people critical of misgendering will be happy with this sitting on the fence Guardian approach? Tbh I think it’s cowardly of the Guardian -why isn’t it sticking to its guns and using she/her pronouns and using the word woman?

Young green woodpecker having a drink in my urban garden. It visited a few days ago to hunt for ants in the grass, but till now I hadn’t seen it again since, so I thought that was a one-off visit. Glad to see it back. @britishbirds.bsky.social

I’ve had a juvenile green woodpecker in my garden for the first time ever this evening. It had a really good peck into the grass for at least 20 minutes - apparently their main diet is ants. Great to sit and watch one so close up.

Don’t be ridiculous. You’re just evading the point about this being a men’s rights movement.

Oh blimey! My favourite free weekend festival, Bristol Harbour Festival, is handing over one of its stages on the Sunday to the fox-basher and his grifting, unsuccessful ‘project’ plus a bunch of trans activists 🤦‍♀️ “A year of holding power to account” 😂 Good to know which stage to avoid, I suppose!

New mallard ducklings on the beautiful Uni of Reading lake. Such a gorgeous place and a stunning range of birdlife in and around the water. In the trees we saw and heard woodpeckers, song thrushes, wrens and many, many more. #14dayswild #30dayswild

The UK figures showing a boom-bust cycle in recent decades, with peaks at 1990 and 2012, is interesting. The last rise and peak came at the end of the Noughties (and the 13 years of Labour government) when more people felt comfortably off. Governments treating people well is the best aphrodisiac.

NHS England gives guidance about uniform www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/u... The pertinent info is in the screenshots. Public confidence is the key matter. Your bio tells us you’re continuing to work as a nurse even though you don’t want to be one, so I guess that explains why you’re not bothered.
