I use my voice (thanks so much speech therapy/oralism /snark) so can't say for sure how well it works with text to speech to an automated system if no humans pick up.

I wonder if the Nagish app would help? It would caption the automated phone system spiel. Maybe typing up what you want to say first, have it ready and mash the enter button when spiel ends, the text then gets converted to speech.

Yep it is. It rained alot on our trip (early-mid April), chilly, wet and windy. Only day I remember the sun out was Rome & Vatican City. Y'all definitely have many memories to cherish (and I oughta post my pics somewhere...). Enjoy your last day there!

Ooo i don't think I ever tried this but I do remember WaWa having a similar lemon meringue ice cream with little graham cracker pieces (aka crust). Loved it a lil too much oops. I'd love to get that again but no WaWas in NC 😭.

Ohhh the canals! I think we rode a gondola. Hm need to check my pictures and my sis' too (our pics a wildly different lol). Will never forget the Good Friday dinner we had... Fish.... With the head. Some of the girls were very icked out 😂. So many wonderful places to eat!

Oh I'm jealous. Went to Italy for a high school class trip for 10 days <mumbles # of> years ago. Venice was one stop along with Florence, Milan (ok that was the airport..), Rome & Vatican (only the public mass), others I can't remember. HAVE FUN and enjoy it all!

Yes they can be but the problem is sadly, most podcasts didn't have captions or transcripts - even today. I remember posting comments on some podcasts asking for transcripts. Maybe "too much work" for them? 🤷. Same issue with video...it's improving but slow, autocraptions still reigns 🤦♂️

A while, YouTube removes cuss words (💩,F@ck, BS when the host/guest speaks those words. Annoying 😂. It's a catch-22 when it comes to Audio v Video for hearing people I suppose but for deaf/HoH folks neither is 100% accessible- yet except maybe for ASL and/or embedded captions. My 2 cents /end

2/?- which are notoriously bad, captions created by the creater of video (rarely done in general anyway) or a provided transcript which isn't accurate most of the time either as it's voice to text. Lip reading is another option but can only catch maybe 30-40%. I do watch video podcasts once 3/?

I get all the points made so far for audio podcasts vs video podcasts...here's my viewpoint. I never got into podcasts when they first came out because I am deaf and 95% of the time there were no transcripts/captions. It was a struggle to get them to do them. video you can have auto captions 1/?

Oh Lord you're right. Just looked again- I think some of the letters blurred thanks to my (not) "wonderful" vision!

I'm still trying to get past the idea Tobacco flavor Bugles. Makea me think parody or something. We had Bugles in the '70s and '80s. My grandparents used to buy boxes us kids did the whole fingers thing. Strangely I have not seen Bugles snack bags in a while here.

Ooo so cool! I'm still trying to narrow down my 1st mech keyboard at a budget price. Y'know too bad there aren't ASL keycaps (I wonder how it would look as shine thru 🤔).
