also Aggron is one of my new favorite Pokémon and I have only Z-A to blame

I do think the bosses were both challenging and fun, and the final boss was pretty cool even if I don't think it hit the same highs as the base game final boss (enjoyers of the specific Pokémon may love it though).

So overall? Not as good as base game, but I think I still had a good time with it

But also without much of a guaranteed way to determine what specific perks your donuts get, you kinda just have to roll your berries until you get something that barely works. It wasn't that bad when this mechanic was optional in Sc/Vi's sandwiches, but now that it's mandatory it feels pretty harsh

There were lots of tough fights too (Honorable mention: wiping to a Lv.99 alpha Annihilape (y'know, That One)) so it also felt engaging. But as for the distortions...well, they straight up don't tell you higher-star distortions drain your timer faster, so that felt offputting for me.

So compared to the main story, I actually don't like it as much? I'm sorta neutral on it, actually?? I think the best part about it is how many EXP candies they give you, so you can quite literally take a Pokémon you just caught and put it on par with the rest of your team pretty easily
