Oh. I forgot youtube. You've ruined that as well. And music.

You took the vpn off my pixel. You took video history off my cloud subscription. You took search results off my Internet. You've crippled 1000s of thermostats and you've got the most derisory excuse for a front end AI.
And you want *checks email* some money for that?

I want to be going to ask someone something.
That is my announcement.

In a sense it's a very personal project, such that I can modify roms, and I don't own a 3d printer, so trying to fit this round my existing skills. Of course I know people with printers and I know custom key legends are available, but still...

Good point. C16 layout/ish is a good idea.

And I was thinking about just remapping them in the ROM. I would already like to move @ and * to the 'normal' shift+number to use a standard keyset as much as possible

My laptop is only 5u. You could have a full cursor set either side of the space <>[ ] ^v and still have two spare keys where the old cursors were.....
fuzzweed.co.uk
Its a frustrating problem. L+R shift by space seems sensible and just go 1U on the bottom row, but then the typing offset between A and Z becomes very odd. I don't think this would feel good to use....
fuzzweed.co.uk
Yeah, irl that would be very annoying. An obvious goal would be to add a 4 way cursor but that would mean moving a lot of stuff around and maybe putting c= and something else by the space. Maybe that is a V2 or maybe I'll think more about it for this....

Using or printing an original frame is certainly an option, but my initial aim was to try for something that could be fitted without. Obviously it would need some sort of bracket, but something that can be sourced ready made. A larger PCB can mount upwards in a 64c just with spacer strip for example
fuzzweed.co.uk
The current annoyance is I've designed it around my 64c and gone to check if it would fit in a bbin, and of course it's completely different. Need to think of a route through that.

Hardware definable really, I'm just leaving connection points on the board for whatever plans people devise. so a dangerous reset would be easy. Or a sub board could put a delay line on it. Or wires out to a freezer cart. Or you could mangle two more cursor buttons....

Yup. Id smarted and then unsmarted my lighting before it was even a thing 😂

MegaWang’s turbo retro encabulator now basically has several new principles involved. Instead of power being generated by the relative motion of conductors and fluxes, it's produced by the modal interaction of magneto reluctance and capacitive duractance.

😂 We can work on this. Have you thought about a personalised definition of success?

Maybe remove the bar entirely?

Set yourself a low bar and you'll succeed in more endeavours.
