we really aren't a nation of laws or of a constitution, just a nation of "do a large enough majority of the bourgeoisie have a house and a paycheck"

Then we have no legal rights (besides philosophical claims to natural rights) besides what force can effect, because there is no legitimate legal authority. That's a very scary situation and I'm not there yet.

Things are bad, heading that way, it's deadly serious. But we're not there yet and he is right to not say it now.
