I’ll also add that being Canadian, the exchange rate on $35US is painful and while I’m confident it’s more than fair given your reviews, I’m sure you’d also think twice about spending nearly $50 for a game.

Not sure where you are, but being on the west coast often makes it harder to find games, too, as I’m still at work when the east coast folks are starting their games. But I’ve followed and will watch for opportunities to support a fellow #ProDM. :)

Wish I wasn’t running my own #ProDM game at the same time or I’d check it out. So hard to find One-Shots on StartPlaying, which is all I can usually commit to. Good luck getting the game to fire!

He was definitely a shooting dummy often, as Boot Hill can be pretty dangerous at the best of times. But we played many mini-campaigns over the years and took a beating a fair amount. I was lucky I never got killed. Self-preservation was his number one goal. He was an accountant, not a gunfighter.

I feel your pain. I ran kid D&D summer camps for two weeks this summer as well as my regular ProDM gigs and by the end of 15 days, I'd run 28 RPG sessions (would've been 30 but two groups cancelled), with some days having 3 games in a single day. Mentally exhausting!
Try and find time to get rest!

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.
I'd had a bunch of average at best experiences with D&D and a series of terrible DMs. Warhammer's grit, down to earth career system, and its brutality (those Crit charts!) were exactly what I needed to fall fully in love with RPGs.
Shadowrun sealed it a few years later.

I had a guy, when the party was Level 19 and he'd miss a couple games, say he wasn't enjoying the dungeon they were in and was going to take a break (so at least he didn't ghost me). He did come back for the finale, but when he decided to not play the next campaign, I wasn't too disappointed.
