Today we remember James Monroe Allen, who died 100 years ago. He was only 48 years old, he succumbed to a cerebral embolysm, or stroke. He was active in his church.

Last year we reported on the death of her husband, now we remember Amanda Timberlake, who died 100 years ago today. Many of her family are buried in other lots in our cemetery. In fact, a granddaughter was just interred with us in 2016.

Today we celebrate the birth of twins to Dr. and Mrs. Ferris T. Cassiday. Sadly, the boy, John, would only live 6 months, his sister died before her second birthday. Both are buried in the Fredericksburg Cemetery.
