If you’re saying “try not to get relegated and pray for Poch next season” I agree that feels like the Club strategy

Fully agree. As does the referee.

One of my favourite women ever. Wish she had done more scenes but the little content she did is all top tier
December 20, 2025 at 4:51 PM
We’ve never had it so good. Both the results and also the quality of football are delightful. Please sir can I have some more?
December 20, 2025 at 12:16 PM
I want £100 spent on multiple areas of the pitch. No point buying a winger if you can’t get the ball to them.
No point making all this noise about a new era if we end up with Frank and Spurs as usual in the transfer market
December 20, 2025 at 12:13 PM
Good shout. Britain is not, despite the boring narrative, broken.
December 17, 2025 at 5:06 PM
You can take your trousers down when you need a poo (the correct decision) and then immediately punch yourself in the balls. It sort of renders the correct decision pointless.
That’s my point
December 16, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Agreed. We are seeing exactly that
December 16, 2025 at 8:56 AM
That’s right. And it’s evidence for the case for sacking Ange. Nevertheless I have to assume a squad was being built for positional play, high pressing and a high line. And then we hired TF. This story goes back 25 years. Wild swing from one style to another. No strategy. No identity
December 16, 2025 at 6:28 AM
But it was so obvious it was a dramatic swing in coaching styles from proactive to primarily passive, yet again. That’s my continuity point. If you’re going to sack Ange (and a coherent argument could be made) then why shift to Nuno-ball?
December 15, 2025 at 3:41 PM
These are fair challenges but, and I imagine you agree, while I picture most sensible boardroom decisions starting with your justification - how the hell do we end up with Thomas Frank? At least hire a continuity candidate
December 15, 2025 at 2:37 PM
Agreed and I remain of the position that sacking Ange for this was utterly pointless. I pray we survive relegation and get Poch next summer.
December 15, 2025 at 9:47 AM
I can find ways to feel equally baffled as to why we would have: signed him for 50 mil, keep him now, sell him. He’s a bizarre one. I feel like a top tier coach makes him work (see Dele under Poch) and anything less makes him look very ordinary at this level
December 15, 2025 at 9:45 AM
I’ll happily stick my hand up and say you accurately describe me as a fan of 35+ years. Ange had many faults but his style matched the Spurs way and he expressed a love and respect for the club. And he won something. TF felt like a pointless more expensive Nuno appointment
December 15, 2025 at 9:41 AM
I felt like that after the loss at home to Fulham.
There’s certainly one relegation place up for grabs…
December 14, 2025 at 4:05 PM
Didn’t see the point on day one of his appointment. Utterly brain dead
December 14, 2025 at 4:03 PM
The process is “don’t get relegated and hope Poch comes back next season”
Another year of fans throwing thousands of pounds down to watch this
December 14, 2025 at 4:03 PM
The last few weeks I can’t see anything but all the bad points of Palinha that you and others like Kish point out.
Honestly I think the squad is in such a poor state that any coach would struggle with this mish mash of styles, development ages and quality. But wow what a joyless watch we are mostly
December 14, 2025 at 3:59 PM
I wouldn’t be so equivocal. Times are tough across the EU. There is no precedent for an economy our size wanting to join. We might luck out and get a decent deal to return on accelerated timelines.
December 13, 2025 at 9:17 AM
Also - not intending to jump on Windy. Just overly sensitive because that lot always seem to over hype their players.
December 11, 2025 at 10:26 AM
How old is Curtis Jones now? Don’t Villa have a lad they’re all raving about? Rico Lewis? Nico O’Reilly? Like you said Lewis Miley. I think they’re all there and thereabouts. Gray is good but I don’t think we should get all AFTV about him just yet
December 11, 2025 at 10:10 AM
I’m really high on him but I’m not sure we know enough about other young midfielders to make this judgement. Hate to say it but, for example, isn’t Miles Lewis-Skelley also very good?
December 10, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Two ways to look at this - 1. Ange had all players fit during this spell pretty much, whereas Frank is struggling with 12+ injuries. So we might improve into the remainder of the season. 2. We show almost no ability to beat teams at home under Frank. Which is surely worse. So we might go down
December 5, 2025 at 11:30 AM
Marginal gain that
December 3, 2025 at 6:02 PM
I know nothing about YD. he is a winger right? Is he predominantly right footed?
