I used to dither about but now just come out with it - the introvert in me gives thanks 🙏 - today was a leaving lunch but said I had been over-stimulated during the weekend and couldn’t make it today - tbh I’ve always felt uncomfortable at events like these now I feel confident enough to say nah 🎉

What I usually do (these days) is just say ‘Nah not for me ya’ - the sooner upfront the better and then sit back and luxuriate in the present you have given yourself to not engage in such horrors
