This is excellent work by the EU, although I'm disappointed by Tokyo's pusillanimous response and dithering.

Basically, every user is treated as if they are an idiot. Also, changes are made to software, paths, and to access, with absolutely no warnings, notifications, or any way of finding out what happened or why! Totalitarian micromanagement!

I can change the working hours, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

As it happened, Word had auto-saved, but another PC crashed on me this morning during a compulsory update, right in the middle of a Teams call! (Employer IT policy means we can't postpone updates to a sensible time such as lunch break!)

I'm guessing today as my work machine went full B(lack)SOD and restarted, while I was in the middle of writing a big report, without having updated! I guess it'll keep trying...
