Comedy Gold in the PSO2 server tonight I had to mute so they don't hear me scream-laughing.
Ep6 picked up in 2020 with the releases of Etoile, the release of Liberate weapons+units, DIVIDE QUESTS bringing in Stil weapons and set effect oriented units, TWO new pets for Summoner, Cras weapon+units, Luster, Absolute Glare & Guardian Soul affixes for your gear.
Bad content, nobody active from the old community even plays, and the people still here keep to themselves out of a fearmongered opinion that they'll get banned.

I think a lot of people who have fond memories of Ep6 either feel like the positives outweigh the negatives, or were total newbies to realize that Ep6 was honestly really, really bad content wise.

It's still kinda crazy to see people be so burnt out on PSO2 that they drop the game after Phantom's release because sega didn't release any worthwhile new gear nor affixes until the end of 2019.
Like aside from farming Sky Dance in Ship Infiltration there was fuck all to grind for.

Looking through my facebook memories from October 2018 - February 2019 is such a nostalgia trip for the sake of looking at people from pso2 who would eventually end up becoming my (former) friends. It's also fun to point out who dropped after NGS and who dropped because they thought Phantom sucked.

There's absolutely zero basis for it but I'll always blame NGS's shortcomings on Global players.

I WILL BE FAIR and say I did this while we played PSO2. Instead of "it should play like how I want it to", it boiled down to intense burnout and new content only having a single worthwhile drop at an extremely low percentage.
There's multiple games where he's done this and it's obviously incredibly irritating to play a game with someone and all they do is bitch and moan instead of trying to find the fun in the game they're playing (or just drop the game. It's not that deep)

Had a little rut in the middle of the year but once I realized I can just do what I always did pre-2023 I felt like my old self again. Except I can confidently say that I closed the book on that group on my own terms.
