I usually hang back on social media, content to observe all the cool science going on, but every time #garweek ends I sit here in the weeks following and want more. In light of this, I suggest we take over the the entire month of March and rebrand it #GARch. A full twelfth of the year for gar please

Hey @stefanmilo.bsky.social I am trying to make my way into the #scicomm space and my first video is going to be about the archeology of bread. I remember in your video on Il Principe you mentioned early flour production associated with the site. What source was that from (if you can recall) Cheers!

Read some scratch tracks for a director I know and submitted several auditions tonight, worked on ren faire projects today, and put in time at the lab to further my research. It’s been a busy 24hrs and I’m gearing up to do it again in the morning. I’m going feral and berserk (this is a good thing)

Stopped by my local game store after work today and snagged a copy of #Daggerheart! Very excited to try out this system for real, especially the cards which I think will effectively captivate my players

Last time I talked about the booth I was building was months ago… I didn’t document a lot of it just due to time limitations pushing me into a fervor of trying to get everything up and ready, but here it is. A little cramped, but for being in my bedroom, I’ll take it! #boothbeginnings #voiceover

Been a bit since I last made any posts on social media, but this is a little video I’ve been wanting to make for a while. As a scientist I feel it’s important to spread the knowledge that I have with the average person. I hope y’all get something out of this little ramble 🙂

Been catching up on the shows (Midst, Moonward, and Unend) from @midstpodcast.bsky.social and I cannot sing their praises loud enough. Genuinely some of the most unique and compelling stories I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. Do yourself a favor and check them out

Gained a new skill at lab today: light microscopy single cell isolation. The technique involves using a glass needle operated by a joystick under a microscope to pick up and move single cells on an agar plate. It’s pretty cool, but very delicate and a little tedious. #microbiology #yeast #research

It’s not much… yet. But it will be in the near future. I don’t have a great place to record, so I’ve decided to build one, small as it might end up being, but this pallet wood was free and I have a hammer, screws, and some time on my hands. #boothbeginnings

The #arcane box set of season 1 is so beautiful. The art is amazing and the dice are gorgeous. A little tradition I have is to make note of the first rolls of any dice I get to see which ones could betray me. As you’ll see below, things look pretty good for these ones!

A while back I saw @tastinghistory.bsky.social make stuffed dates, so I finally took a swing at it for the neighborhood holiday party today. I think they turned out quite nice!

About a year ago I did the voice over for a series of videos on kidney transplantation for Allina Health. Go ahead and take a listen if you want to hear my dulcet tones talking about some rather important organs!
