My dumbest hot take is that every road out of west lake should be tolled. You don't get to benefit from living in a metro area without contributing to its upkeep and general wellness

And personally, I think that part of town is cool and is a huge draw for tourism so I wouldn't even want "towers" but upzoning that area to encourage more condo-izing would rock. Blanket upzoning neighboring Mt. Pleasant would go wayyy further for cost of living, it's out of control expensive there

In other parts of town these types of homes have been condo-ized and are super cool. South of the crosstown in general is beautiful and super walkable so it has that aspect of urbanism for sure, but the majority of the homes in that picture are owner occupied 3 or 4 story mansions

Lol this guy managed to use a picture where the whole thing is zoned single family. For anyone who's never been to charleston, the median home in this picture is a 100+ year old 6000+ sq ft mansion. A couple streets of row homes in there but those are the minority

Looks like it might just be a quirk of how the data was collected? Study says the data series goes through October 25th but they don't specify the time, and considering the researchers were 15 hrs ahead in Australia, maybe they just collected until 9am ET that day

Dems shouldn't be doing anything like this in red districts until they figure out how to actually get credit for their good policy. Otherwise voters will just go "vibes good, vote incumbent"
