Feeling disjointed. Chronic Grief Syndrome is real and difficult to live with. It has a big hunk of guilt. Guilt for smiling, guilt for feeling happy, guilt for finding joy.
People look on and think you are lying. Pretending. How can you be happy and have this syndrome. It isn't lying its masking.

I am very happy that we have universal health care in Queensland. Our regional hospital is filled with many older patients who would not be getting cared for if it wasn't for our public health service.
It's not perfect, but it is so much better that what the US puts people through.

Please please please don't leave niggling ailments to chance. It doesn't waste anyone's time by checking things out.
I would rather hear 'it's nothing to worry about', or 'we can cure this' from my GP than its late stage (put illness here) from the specialist.
