Can we return the favour and tax McDonald, Burger King, Starbucks and all the other fast food crap imported from the US to the same degree? From a health point of view this could be seriously beneficial @ec.europa.eu

Always found that horse hair wig fascinating. Apparently it makes all judges look the same which hinders retribution from those who are judged.

I have always romanticised the visual aspect of Cuba. Its decay stuck in an alternative reality, echoes of soft voices carried by the smoke of cigars. Until you live there.

Water supplies fail. Food shortages force adults to skip meals to feed the young and elderly. Multiple generations live packed together in a single house and endure hot summer nights without enough power to run a fan.

Daily life in Cuba is a nightmare.

People may be finally realising that putting all your life data onto social media for free has its pitfalls.

The Don't Look Up ending version of Dr. Jane Goodall. Shoot them into space and good riddance to that pack of terminal sociopaths. Goodall was exceptional, down to every word. We got this far because of inspiring people like her; this is the leadership we need.

Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

There you are. So, to follow up, I can just mute you or block you in order not to have to engage with your abusive comments. It's really that easy.

Agree💯- if you feel threatened defend your argument instead, stand up to those who you perceive wrong and use the block facility. Banning is for wimps.

The final shootout scene is absolutely epic. I would watch the whole series again just for that bit.

Jane Goodall's ground breaking research on primates led to a major conservation initiative in Tanzania which Trump almost killed when foreign-aid funding was cut. Search engine Ecosia
filled the funding gap, guaranteeing the continuation of the Gombe reforestation project for the next 3 years.

Never forget that what has got us this far is our ability for empathy, selflessness and helping each other. Without it we would have never made it as a human race.

Corrupt local politicians, ignorance, and big lobbies are the usual culprits in this story so no need to apologise! I love eucalyptus trees and I love Australia. Their scent will always remind me of the most unforgettable journey I have ever taken.

Last year in Asturias I saw native forests invaded by Eucalyptus trees introduced by the cellulose extraction industry. These invasive trees drain the soil of any moisture, destroy local habitat, prevent the thriving of other species. The fires we saw this year were a disaster waiting to happen.
