Even after finishing a PhD, the advise still resonated.

As an Editor, my advise: read A LOT🤓.

You don't need to reinvent the wheel to write a good paper... but you definitely need to slow down & think. Reading helps you contextualize findings, make good experimental plans & explain your science.

In a rare bout of personal news… I’m finally ready to be active on Bluesky again! Outside of my work-hours, I was a little busy planning a wedding with my cats’ dad 🐈🐈.

In this Comment, Grünwald & Khokha call for a shift in comprehension of tumour tissue organization; while tumour tissues are heterogeneous, they are not disordered, & instead, propagate their functions via a considerable level of self-organization.

I previously volunteered w men returning from prison, where I saw how often adolescent hardships shaped their paths. Incarceration should not make someone undeserving of care & denying medical treatment reflects societal bias + ignorance.

People in the USA who are incarcerated, or have a history of incarceration, face worse access to cancer care, leading to poorer outcomes. Zhao & colleagues highlight the need to address these inequities through coordinated action.

A super cool Perspective highlighting the intersection of metabolic hallmarks of both aging and cancer.

In it, they also explore how population-related metabolic differences associated with longevity may contribute to racial disparities in cancer risk & prognosis.

Give it a read!! 🤓

I will absolutely never understand why you would actively choose to turn off spell check on your Word document.😫

Look, we all make mistakes even with spell check on.... but I can tell you without a doubt that it would *defiantely* benefit you to keep it on.
