We mourn every innocent life that has been taken. We need to keep coming together to call on our leaders to do everything in their power to stop the killing and ensure a lasting peace and justice in Palestine.

Time and again, we’ve seen isolated incidents used to characterise an entire movement as violent. It’s important that we distinguish that the hateful actions of one do not reflect a community of hundreds of thousands who have come together calling for peace.

The graffiti in Fitzroy glorifying the October 7 attacks has rightfully shocked people in our community - it has no place here and our thoughts are with the Jewish community and all those whose lives have been affected.

In the last hour, the brave humanitarians aboard the Freedom Flotilla, which includes at least one Australian, Madeleine Habib, have reported being surrounded and intercepted by the Israeli military in international waters.

This is direct contravention of international law.

We need to build, not demolish public housing and urgently introduce rent controls.

Meanwhile, Labor's solution to the housing crisis is to demolish all the public housing towers in the state and lock renters into unlimited rent increases.

And their 5% deposit scheme will be sure to send house prices skyrocketing and lock first home buyers into debt they can't afford.

The number of applications for public and community housing is up by 7% in the last year.

80% of landlords raised the rent in the past two years with an average increase of 17%.

This has gotten seriously out of control - for all of Labor’s big numbers and big announcements, their response to the housing crisis has done nothing but line the pockets of property developers and push more and more people into housing stress and homelessness.

Palestine’s future cannot be left in the hands of fascist Trump, genocidal Netanyahu and accused war criminal Tony Blair.

Palestinians must have the right to determine their own future.

The fact that just weeks out, the Government was secretly trying to cancel the 2024 Land Forces weapons expo while publicly insisting that it was good for our economy - shows us our collective power and proves that we are the reason that Land Forces 2026 won't happen in Victoria.

Protest works.

Over the next month Labor is planning to push out the remaining public housing residents in a number of towers in Flemington and North Melbourne.

To stop this project our community will need to turn out.

Send me a DM to get involved.

Labor is letting private developers decide what is 'affordable'.

This is what 10,000 public housing residents are about to be plunged into if we don't stop Labor's plan to demolish and privatise all 44 of the public housing towers in Victoria.

'Affordable' housing tenants face $55 per week rent increase
A year after they moved into an "affordable" apartment in a new public-private housing development in inner Melbourne, Alix and Tiarn were told their rent would increase by 17 per cent. They say their...

For years we’ve known that these are the things that will prevent this kind of far-right extremism, we had a parliamentary inquiry to prove it. Yet the government has turned a blind eye.

The time to act is now. Implement all the recommendations from the inquiry.

Premier - are you seeing this?

It’s been coming for a while, and it’s past time to step in and stop this white-supremacist violence at its root. Youth support, deradicalisation, anti-racism education, tackling inequality.

The rally yesterday and the rampage at Camp Sovereignty is a wake up call for us all. I can’t imagine how distressing this time is for First People and people of colour.

Thank you to those who turned up to let neo-nazis know their fascist ideology is not welcome here.

Our petition to make housing a human right is growing - let’s show Labor that Victorians want to see this enshrined in law.

This morning Labor refused the opportunity to make the right to housing law in Victoria.

But we’re not giving up. Our bill is delayed, but not dead!

Let’s keep fighting to change the way we think about housing - to treat it as a human right.

BREAKING: Land Forces weapons expo is officially out of Victoria.

Protest works.

Thank you to the thousands that organised, turned up and raised your voice to say no to war profiteering in our state.

If Labor was serious about the housing crisis, they would stop the demolition of public housing and build more. Bring rents down. And make buying a first home easier than buying an investment property.
