Feels great to be on the final countdown to launching this thing.

I've seen ebook preorders coming in and I know I have people waiting on the paperback launch too.

I have a lot of content in this one, so excuse my bias...

This is a genuinely fantastic resource. Literally, 101 TTRPG scenarios ready to go for most fantasy-set games. Written for Magonomia, using the Fate engine, but absolutely adaptable straight off the page.

KDP author proof copy has arrived. It feels good. But not as good as it reads...

Find out for yourself on 27/10/2025...

My first self-published book is nearly here. October 27th is the target publication date.

Full cover reveal, details, and pre-order link all coming shortly.

Just uploaded the print cover and content PDF for The First Folio to KDP. The manuscript is going through a final proofread right now so I think I have time ahead of the October 27th release date for all the final stages.

Book One of The Faust Quartet is nearly upon us...

I think I just approved the cover for The First Folio.

Now looking to self-publish on 27/10/2025.

ISBNs purchased. The First Folio now has IDs for ebook and paperback.

Edging towards publication.

Thank you. I'll keep you in mind for book two.

Had lovely feedback from an early reader for The First Folio.

He's asked for book two to read. Sad to say, that's a couple of months away for beta readers.

I have someone reading an advance copy of Faust: The First Folio.

He dropped me a note to say:

Chapters 34 and 35 were epic!!!!

Which is nice to hear.

Had a 4K word day today working on a Faust short story.

While I'm getting ready to publish the first Faust novel, I'm working on a couple of these short stories to fill the publishing space between novel one and novel two.

The first Faust short story is plotted and WIP.

There should be ten of them published between The First Folio and The Second Son.

Working on Faust book two, but... Also working on a number of short stories. The idea being that they'll plug the publishing gap between books one and two.

KDP and IngramSpark accounts created.

Cover concept in progress.

Tutorials on epub compilation / print layout being watched.

Another re-read underway.

I'm doing what I can with this book.

The First Folio - Book One of the Faust Quartet - will be released this year.

That's a wrap.

All edits now in the electronic file. Now sitting just over 94K words.

I have back matter and blurb work to do and to get the ebook out to a few early readers ahead of releasing to the world later this year.

Three chapters and an epilogue to go and I'm all done with my final pass on Faust: The First Folio.

Been interesting and does prove that it wasn't ready to query. That said, I don't for a minute think it will successfully hook an agent. If it didn't before, it won't now.

I'm currently taking the red pen comments from my printed copy of Faust: The First Folio and getting those changes into the @scrivenerapp.bsky.social project. Fewer than a hundred pages left to go. We're on the home stretch and then this book is done and ready for ARCs.

TTRPG project kick-starting soon...

Built for the Magonomia game of enchanted Elizabethan England, but adaptable for any fantasy or urban fantasy setting.

I'm across a big part of this book and cannot wait to see the final product.

Final round of edits on Faust: The First Folio are now in progress.

At the risk of jinxing myself and at the very obvious risk of hubris to be repaid by reader reviews... I'm enjoying this book.

That's not a stack of blank paper. That's the completed red-pen read through of Faust:The First Folio.

Next job... Edit all the red squiggles into the manuscript and call it done.

Once the manuscript is finished, I'll be sending out ebook ARCs. If anyone does fancy receiving one, let me know.
A stack of A4 paper with a red pen laying on top.

Have been engaged in nice DM back and forth with a few fellow writers over in that other microblogging place.

Showed real interest in what I'm writing, my process...

And then... Do you have an editor? Do you have a launch strategist?

I'll chat to anyone, but really? It's all just a sales pitch?
gabrielswitch.bsky.social
What am I catching in my red pen pass through Faust: The First Folio? Well... "What fuck?" Should of course be "What the fuck?"

And Faust swears a lot, so I need to make sure they're all right, right?

Update: Still working through red pen physical edits on a print copy of Faust: The First Folio. And there was a smidgen of interest from this week's questpit event. Not huge massive definite interest, but interest enough to send out another query package.
