Came out of running retirement for 13.1 with my 75 year old mom. All she wanted for her birthday was to run a half with her kids, and she did amazing. First in her age group!

#marathonmonday is my favorite day in Boston. This year’s #bostonmarathon was incredible. Seeing Des finish her incredible career, high fiving Matt James (don’t @ me) and seeing the community come out to celebrate the amazing feat that is the marathon did wonders for my soul.

Okay for those wondering how it turned out…. A bit too rare for my family’s taste (I need a proper meat thermometer) but seasoning and the accompanying yogurt horseradish dip was spot on. Maybe I’ll try again next year!

My mom always made fudge for the neighbors during the holidays when I was a kid. I make different kinds of cookies for the neighbors now. This years are (both gluten free): oatmeal cranberry white chocolate and hot chocolate cookies. #holidaybaking #glutenfree
