Mafalda is my spirit animal

It's not even the best fit for what's happening in the US, they just love it so much (and don't know of any other fascist governments)

The idea of a collection of glasses you swap between is completely foreign to me, I have basically a single pair and barely think about them, they might as well be part of my face

I mean no one can stop you from retconnig it...

I'd be funnier if she thought she nailed it and started using it all the time

Idk about him but I'd prefer if every bridge had a 400% safety margin

This also assumes "democracy" today means the same it did 200 years ago

The founding fathers did not expect universal suffrage, the move towards it was gradual and was happening concurrently in many countries

A notable thing about the tanks is that german armor didn't have any notable technological breakthroughs, they were just bigger and had bigger guns

Everyone else could've built the maus, but why would they ever do that

Well the soviets wanted to switch to a semi-auto too but couldn't due to production constraints

As a guy that doesn't follow comics my deepest desire for the absolute series of comics is that the heroes never win and that they keep the message that however bleak things are and however many times evil wins fighting it is still worth it

The temptation to make the heroes win will be very strong

Don't know how reliable this is (and I might very well be misremembering, haven't read it in a while) but in anthony beevor's ardennes 1944 he has a passage about US surgeons finding it easier to operate german POWs than US infantrymen because there was less fat to cut through

I appreciate the escort carrier model being the gambier bay

I think it's interesting to compare that aspect to vic3 which has the pretty explicit goal of making every ideological reaction to industrialization viable

HoI has been drawn to the inherent politics of the setting unprepared, but vic3 tackles them head on (regardless of if it does it well)

The old world expanded mod for total warhammer 3 has a settlement north of not-korea called man-churia

Can't say it isn't in line with how GW names things...

I think there'll be three camps, the "I wasn't a fan" who will distance themselves from it, the "it was a necessary evil" who will try to avoid talking about it and the "he was cool and good and we need to do trumpism again" whose willingness to talk will depend on the individual

Surely this will help the institution's public image

Can't talk about evangelion, but the schoolgirls tank one was a terrible choice

Like I love it, but it's shallow and 100% relies on a tolerance of schoolgirl anime tropes that's outside what a regular person will have

There's not much there to make pushing through worth it if you're not on board

Telling them they're so terrible even the american pope doesn't like them because of their unchristian beliefs would probably not go down well

Yes team cherry, half life is a pretty good game

Starfield is a really interesting case since bethesda had already gone down the "sheer size" road with daggerfall, you'd think they wouldn't make the specific mistakes they made with starfield given their track record
