#StarTrekTNG's "Qpid" is one of the few episodes in which the camera comes so close to Picard's Enterprise-D ready room painting that the blue signatures of Rick Sternbach and Andy Probert are (barely) visible on screen.

Angus MacGyver at the Strategic Research Development Administration facility in the #MacGyver episode "The Human Factor"⬆️ and the Bajoran refugee camp on Valo II (#StarTrekTNG's "Ensign Ro"⬇️), both filmed at Bronson Canyon but 5 years apart.

Before we talk about the healthy and yummy food in #StarTrekTOS's "The Man Trap", we have to talk about the poisonous Borgia plant from M-113. It looks like this is a ginger root painted dull green. You can see the chew mark and the yellow ginger inside rather well. :-)

While the ready room in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"⬆️ looks in many ways still as it did in season 1 ("Code of Honor"↙️, "Conspiracy"↘️), concerning the chairs, for example, one major differences are the overhead lights, which are separated into smaller sections and not one continuous light-band.

In #StarTrekTOS' "The Enemy Within"↙️, McCoy and Kirk share a drink of Saurian brandy from small blue brandy glasses ➡️. They used the same glasses an episode earlier in "The Corbomite Maneuver"↖️ when drinking an unnamed alcoholic beverage. These glasses will be seen again in future episodes.

In episode 4 of #StarTrekScouts, we see Sprocket's (the Vulcan character) workspace a little better. His Vulcan lute can clearly be seen in this brief shot. I'm sure we'll get an even better look at it in a future episode.

Originally, Doctor McCoy kept two bottles of Saurian brandy in sickbay in #StarTrekTOS' "The Enemy Within". It will be interesting to see if both of these bottles survived until the end of the show or if more than one (or two) are seen on screen at the same time in future episodes.

Picard's ready room desktop monitor in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid" features his "Tagus III Archaeological Notes". In the HD version of the episode, all of the notes are fully legible. They feature the names of several people working on TNG back then and also Memory Alpha and the Vulcan Science Academy.

A decorative black bowl, that is hanging on the wall of Vash's Enterprise-D guest quarters in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"⬆️, will later appear in Data's quarters on a small side table, here seen in season 5's "Darmok"⬇️.

In the #MacGyver episode "The Human Factor"↗️, MacGyver is seen entering the Eastern Bronson Canyon cave entrance (not the Western Batman exit). This entrance was also seen in #StarTrekTOS "Bread and Circuses"↖️, #StarTrekTNG's "Attached"↙️ and #StarTrekVOY's "State of Flux"↘️ (from the inside).

#StarTrekTOS' "The Enemy Within" is the first #StarTrek episode in which the famed Saurian brandy appears. Originally, the easily recognizable bottle was a 1964 George Dickel Tennessee Whisky bottle ➡️, modified for the show and seen in numerous later episodes.

The back wall was removed. 👌

"Qpid"↘️ is the first late season 4 episode in which the old Livingston (a red lionfish (Pterois volitans)), known from earlier episodes ("TBoBWII"↖️, "Suddenly Human"↗️), has returned. In between, he was played by a radial firefish (Pterois radiata) ("Data's Day"⬅️, "Devil's Due"➡️, "First Contact"↙️.

It's a pity I didn't remember this line in #StarTrekTNG's "Hide and Q" earlier, as it fits yesterday's post perfectly. ;-) Bear in mind, though, that Q is browsing through Picard's "Globe Illustrated Shakespeare" here, while Patrick Stewart appears in the "Annotated Shakespeare".

My Klingon bloodwine from V-Sinne arrived today, including wine glasses with the Klingon emblem! :-) I'll definitely try this out on #StarTrek night with my friends this weekend!

Dr. Crusher's casual blue knitted outfit, which debuted only one episode earlier in #StarTrekTNG's "The Nth Degree"⬆️, is seen much better in the following episode "Qpid" during the breakfast scene with Vash ⬇️. Oh Jean-Luc, you ARE in trouble! 😂😂

Thanks to your help, I was able to find out that the live-action element of the Ventax II matte painting in #StarTrekTNG's "Devil's Due"↖️ was filmed on the Sepulveda Dam in Los Angeles ↙️. Because of that, it was easy for me to identify the dam in the season 2 #MacGyver episode "Twice Stung"➡️

The same type of two-piece shovel that Vash and Picard use on Risa to dig for the Tox Uthat in #StarTrekTNG's "Captain's Holiday"↖️↗️ again appears in Vash's Enterprise-D guest quarters in "Qpid"↙️. Dukat will later use a shovel of this type in #StarTrekDS9's "Indiscretion"↘️.

#StarTrekTOS' "Mudd's Women" is the first #StarTrek episode that features (roughly) cube-shaped food. In this episode, Eve McHuron is preparing a meal, consiting of green vegetable cubes and meat, for Rigel XII miner Ben Childress. Won't be long till we get the proper first colourful food cubes! :-)

I dont *normally* use it but this time, I did.

I will relate the story of how I found out about all of this at a later time. In the meantime: we gotta let Dame Janet Suzman and Rowena Cooper know that they are canon in the #StarTrek universe! Were have you last seen them on TV?

Apart from #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid"↖️ and "True Q"↙️, this double page is seen in two more episodes, "Silicon Avatar"↗️ and "Descent I"↘️. In both cases, Picard has an argument of sorts with a strong female character, Dr. Kila Marr and Admiral Alyssa Nechayev. 5/6

In universe, this was absolutely Q's doing, of course! This exact double page not only appears in season 4's "Qpid" (pic 1+2) but also in his very next appearance on #StarTrekTNG, in season 6's "True Q" (pic 3+4, better shot in next post). Q had a little fun with this curious likeness... 4/6

I am 100% sure that this was done on purpose, as the same double page from the book appears both in the ready room and Picard's quarters in "Qpid". At this point in #StarTrekTNG, volume II (not volume I) of "Annotated Shakespeare" is usually seen in Picard's quarters, someone had fun with this! 3/6

Picard's ready room "Annotated Shakespeare, vol. I" is opened to double page 354-355 ("As You Like It, Act II, Scene IV) for the first time in this episode. It features a photo from the 1968 Royal Shakespeare Company production of the play with Patrick Stewart playing the fool Touchstone. 2/6
