the iris and some of its uses 💜⭐

a black background with bright iris illustrations. these are some of the iris past uses. a Roman perfume bottle is the top left, as iris was once used to produce orris root, a perfumed oil used for centuries. on the bottom right is a gold writing nib decorated with gems and a blue glass ink bottle for writing ink. behind it is a yellow flag iris, which was once mixed with iron sulfate to make ink on the island of Jura in Scotland

This illustration was also made back in 2019 for the Fashion Furs Collective vol. 3 art book. The theme was "nostalgia". it's still one of my favourite works!

Did my first outdoor climb at mount arapilles ! I have a severe fear of heights so was super proud of myself for getting even higher than I do at indoor gyms!
