It could/should absolutely be knocked down for housing. Most of the Gyle could be infilled too. The Gyle is phenomenally well connected and located, and almost a 15 min neighbourhood. It would benefit from being turned into a mixed use development with community hubs.

This is my reasoning for thinking Jacob R-M will never defect to Johnny-Come-Lately Reform. He loves the institution and traditions of the Conservative Party. His politics might meld and he’d welcome Farage into the Tory fold, but he wouldn’t join Reform thought love of party.
