A council spokesman said: “The responsibility for the housing and placement of adult individuals seeking asylum is with the Home Office. However, Highland Council can confirm that there has been no approach from the Home Office in regard to this property or any others in the area in question.”

We've seen some rumours on Wester Ross social media that renovation work on a hotel in #Garve may be linked to the provision of asylum seeker accomodation there. It is not.
