I think that’s what makes his stories hit so hard. Like the Phantom Pain is honestly a heartbreaking tragedy at every turn for every character and yet there is so many moments weirdness and joy sprinkled in. It doesn’t take away from the overall pain and hurt, and it doesn’t make it any less real
