I write/edit books, lover Murder, She Wrote, and use the Oxford comma.
Exploring Christianity (Lutheran college & a GenEd requirement). I went in thinking it would be a repeat of confirmation, and day 1 the prof was like 'here is the syllabus; we'll be covering the Gnostics and liberation theology.' Definitely not a repeat & reshaped my understanding of Christianity.

Thanks! Not sure how it started, but Star Wars gingerbread is a holiday tradition at my house.

Fair enough. I don't like football (don't tell anyone where I live), hence my grinchiness about football romances.

Have you read The Long Game yet? It's book 6 in the series but picks up Hollander and Romanov's story.

So, so angry. If my MN uncle spoke like this? Run.

Seriously. I can't even. Like, why?!?!?

Yeah, I'm both pissed and mystified. Like, what? I mean, this is what I told 1st graders today--their paragraph had to have at least 3 sentences NOT because that's the rule for paragraphs, but b/c they needed to use three different verbs.

YES. We got a new mattress* AND a tankless water heater, and both were super exciting to spouse and me.

*CA king for my 6'4 spouse.

Well deserved. Congrats!

As someone raised in that environment...let's just say the work to establish healthy boundaries and parenting is intense. My siblings and I are 30s/40s, and our mom still does not get that we are autonomous adults. We get it (yay, therapy), but it took a lot of work.

As someone to whom you have said, 'no. just no,' about a backstory point...1000x this.

Toss up between:

A guy in grad school (we had the same diss. advisor) who called me 'the shortest 10 foot woman in the world.' (I'm 4'10)

And the pastor/LPC who said I reminded her of Elizabeth I as played by Cate Blanchett.

Right? Though not as mean as the 'your hair is longer than your team's post-season' comment considering the man shaves his head.

This might be my favorite part of hockey season at my house.
