I’m curious if it takes the same tone with others as it does with me. It ends technical responses with “Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.” and I just think that’s so nice 🥲

Since then I think my greatest contribution to social good side projects as a software engineer has been talking people down from bespoke solutions to “hey wait does a Google form work” 😅
I appreciate that you called out the middle ground of “low-code” and tools like Airtable!

Ahhhh just watched, so true! This concept really hit me in my early years of learning to code, because me and Al my friends definitely went full send on “we can build fullstack websites for good causes!!” …with no understanding of like, the concept of maintaining software.

Extremely happy you’re working with experts on this!! Honestly I was already pretty hopeful for Bluesky but this news takes the cake. Trust & Safety is MUCH easier if you set norms from the start than if you go full Wild West first and have to clean it up later!

Terrible, bad. I’ve been able to avoid that particular threat by moving (at least) once per year but that’s awful in its own way

Ok wow yes I hate that tremendously!! Especially the jumping between platforms with no indication that she wanted interaction.
The first part of her story actually also happened to me, some guy found me from Tinder to FB with just my first name and college 💀
