I don't mean to sound like a high and mighty old man, but it's just that, personally, I enjoy making something that goes every extra mile to shine a light on every small detail, and it makes me a little sad when I see those nuances and small details disregarded or smoothed over

When I realized that I was obsessed with a certain 80s-90s Japanese tone/aesthetic for a project of mine, I went searching for as much raw material from that period as I could, hoping that I would fully "understand" enough to make something that truly celebrates the beauty of it all, inside and out
