It's winter and the pensioners have gone cruising. Things will pick up when they return.

I'm not sure what the Farage clause is, but if a reform government takes us out of the ECHR, then the TCA and Northern Ireland agreement might be suspended and that would make things even worse.

I fixed them myself in my street with a bag of ready-mix.

Starmer's main opponents seem to be his own back benchers. He should call an election and get rid of them.
February 4, 2026 at 4:48 PM
Starmer isn't a Fascist. He's trying to govern with little spare cash.

I've been a member of RAC breakdown and recovery for 45 years and have been taken for a mug (probably rightly). My policy renewed at over £100 more than last year and I forgot to cancel as I was away. I've used them twice in all that time. The app won't even let me undo the auto renew option.

There's me thinking that the second amendment was about protecting the state from Federal militia.
January 25, 2026 at 9:43 PM
What exactly is the 2nd amendment for?

If reform win the next election, will they have to create hundreds of peers for their party?

The difference between copying from chatgpt and text books is that text books are correct.

The USSR evacuated Laveikin from Mir in the 80s due to a heart condition, but I seem to remember he had a ruck with someone.

I think the government will wait for the appointment of a new head of ofcom, who will have 6 months of meetings before declaring it's deplorable. Expect no action.

That path would never have been cleared in Britain. We don't even clear the pavements, but the car is king, so major roads are (usually) gritted.

My local camra branch has boycotted all pubs showing a sticker or just saying there's a ban. That's a lot of people who turn up to pub crawl to miss out on.

The BBC uses two sources to verify and other outlets only one or maybe guess from social media. They're the last and best.

Congratulations. I remember running towards Baker St tube from Lord's area when I was running the tube lines. She ran the opposite way and we exchanged waves. Lovely.

It will all be watered down with amendments if even gets through at all. If I were Starmer, I'd leak the possibility of an early election if this and the budget gets a lot of resistance.

Oh dear. My wife of 40 years was born in New Zealand. Will I have to pay for her ticket or doesn't she count?

That ladder should be inclined at 4:1. They could have hurt themselves at the incline shown in the photo. Maybe one of them 'footed' the ladder.
