The NTA have paid serious money for the development of apps and websites to communicate with the public but somehow that is not where they choose to do it?

My understanding is that they struggle to get the operators to communicate with them at all during disruptions which is just mad.

Ah the odd system outage is to be expected but the communication is just so bad.

Like why is the only way you find out about it in an orderly fashion on twitter??

The NTA need to do better on collecting info from operators and quickly distributing it to the public

The cancellation of this vital piece of infrastructure is a terrible shame and people should reach out to their TDs and the Minister for Transport to call for funding to be reinstated.

It was going to be the beginning and end of a jewel in the crown of the city and region for workers, students, children and for tourists. This was not just to be a valuable commuting route but a welcome recreational amenity in a city crying out for good outdoor space.

We were disappointed to find out that the NTA has withdrawn funding for a bridge which was to safely & seamlessly connect the City with:

- The University of Galway
- The Hospital
- Newcastle
- Dangan
- Moycullen
- The rest of Conamara

In addition, capacity must be improved between Athenry and Galway Ceannt. Otherwise there will simply be no space for trains to/from Mayo into the city.

However, this must come with double tracking, line speed upgrades, and partial electrification. Otherwise we will end up in a similar situation to our Limerick service, packed to the gills and fighting for seats.
