Due to censorship laws, the German version of Half-Life replaced military enemies with robots. Instead of blood they would leak oil and lose machine parts instead of limbs. Also, the player couldn't kill scientists. When they were shot, they'd just sit down, shaking their head

In Forza Horizon 3, in the Australian outback areas, kangaroos and other wildlife are coded to dynamically spawn and jump across roads. Though they don't "collide" with your car, their sudden appearances can subtly mess up your driving line if you're not paying attention

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a huge game with nearly 1000 characters scattered around Cyrodiil. While a few of these characters are performed by legendary actors like Patrick Stewart and Lynda Carter, the rest are voiced by a small cast of roughly 10 to 15 voice actors

Red Dead Redemption 2 has over half a million lines of dialogue. So many that most players won’t hear them all. From NPCs having fireside chats to enemies talking amongst themselves. Even Arthur’s lines change depending on how close he is to someone. The detail is unreal
