Welp... it was in development hell for a while now.
Since I don't know about the state of it, this might even be the right choice. I played the OG recently and it still holds up. If you are interested, play that one.
BREAKING: Ubisoft is canceling the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake and 5 other games (4 unannounced, 1 mobile). The company says it is also delaying 7 games (including an unannounced project believed to be a Black Flag remake) as part of a larger restructuring.

Just checked the @square-enix-games.com merch store and they don't have plushs of the frog versions of the #FinalFantasyVII characters. Totally a missed opportunity!

I did some testing and I think that the default "Use app setting" will still use the old model. Meaning that if you have a pre 40 series GPU, you don't need to do anything (I would set it fixed to be sure). If you got at least a 40 series GPU, you should set "Recommended".

The new DLSS 4.5 is officially out and it's pretty amazing (on 40 and 50 series GPUs). Even the Ultra Performance setting looks really good now!

Since I'm done with my #GamesOfTheYear list, I'll now post games I still have to play or finish.
January 7, 2026 at 8:47 PM
Today's entry in my #GamesofTheYear list is the obvious one #ClairObscurExpedition33 . It takes place in a world where there is a Paintress that counts down years on a monolith and if you are of that age, you will vanish from this world.
December 29, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Since there were two games this year in this genre, I need to include #NinjaGaidenRagebound in my list of #GamesOfTheYear as well. Shinobi is just the better one, but I also want to give this one a shoutout as well.
December 28, 2025 at 5:24 PM
Today's entry in my #GamesOfTheYear list is #ShinobiArtOfVengence . A classic side scrolling slasher got a new entry and it's better than ever. Your village got attacked by a big baddie that turned villagers and your pregnant wife into stone. Time to rescue your loved ones!
December 28, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Today's entry in my #GamesOfTheYear list is #SilentHillf . The first entry to take place in Japan. You're playing Hinako a school girl in her teens that goes through all sorts of troubles. Be it at home, with her friends or her best friend that has more feelings for her.
December 27, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Just so I get through my #GamesOfTheYear list a bit faster, I will add one extra game, #Battlefield6 .
After Battlefield 4 there was such a long stretch of not so great Battlefield games. Sure, Battlefield 1 was pretty good, but it was nothing like the old days... up until now.
December 26, 2025 at 7:39 PM
Today's game for my #GamesOfTheYear list is #Hades2 . The rogue like with fast and intricate gameplay is back and it's even better than before. This time you're playing Melinoe, a witch that was trained all her life to defeat Chronos, the new antagonist.
December 26, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Todays post for my #GamesOfTheYear series goes to #DeadTake . Another one that went a little under the radar although it deserves so much more.
Your playing an actor who struggles to find another role. While at a party at a producer's house, you're unraveling a dark secret.
December 25, 2025 at 4:59 PM
The first game is #TheAlters . It came out in June this year and hasn't been talked about a lot, unfotunately.
It's about a lone survivor on a foreign planet that has to clone himself to maintain a space station.

I'm gonna write down my picks for games of the year. I'm not picking only one, because I can't and won't. So over the next few days I'm gonna post games in no specific order that I really liked. #GamesOfTheYear

That sounds a lot like we'll be finally getting Warcraft IV. Question is if the current Blizzard can still deliver a worthy successor. Worthy, in the sense of the fans be satisfied. Diablo IV is a great game and I don't expect any other game to be anything less.
Blizzard is focusing on its established franchises rather than trying to develop new IP. The company plans to put out 1-2 big releases a year from here on out, Faries tells me www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

Tough topic. On the one hand, AI is not all evil and can be a useful tool, but on the other hand, in the wrong hands it can be this evil that everyone sees it as. Also, AI is nowhere close to as perfect as some people make it out to be.
NEW: I spoke to Larian boss Swen Vincke about their ambitions for their new RPG Divinity, cutting down development time, pressures from Baldur's Gate 3, why BG3 wouldn't have happened without Tencent, how Larian uses generative AI, and much more www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

I don't think 2030 is far off. We didn't even get a window in the teaser. Estimating a huge project like this is nearly impossible, but since the studio was only founded this year. I can't imagine this game taking less than 4 years

More people need to play this game. It's so much fun! Also crazy that it's from the same developers as Evil Within.

Yeah, the Steam Machine will definitely cost at least $800. And that's for the 512GB storage one.

While I liked the combat, I love it when a dev listens to player feedback and puts in this much effort to patch things. #SilentHillf

I'm really hoping for this to be good! I'm not that big of a Marvel/DC fan, but having Amy Hennig on board makes me excited for it.

GTA6 wasn't the only delay last night, as Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra also gets pushed beyond "early 2026"
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, the upcoming superhero release from Skydance Games and Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame, has been delayed.

How not suprising at all.
They should take as much time as they need. Good games need time to polish and to implement all the features they planned to do.
No developer can with certainty say that a project is finished a year or even 6 months prior to the deadline.

Proof that brains are weird and uncontrollable:
No matter how much I try to convince and prepare my brain that I can walk normally... ANY TIME an escalator is broken and I step on it, I almost stumble, because my brain expects it to move. Stupid brain...
