Games Commons is a new way to conceive of game design. Games are driven by data published on the web, owned and managed in common (think Wikipedia). Over time this results in a game which evolves by the creativity of the player commons.
The Landlord's Game, published in 1906 by creator Elizabeth Magie, was a game based on the economic principles of Georgism, and was intended to demonstrate how rents enrich property owners and impoverish tenants.
It was the inspiration for the 1935 game Monopoly, also intended as a cautionary tale.
