I don’t think I like using social media. It’s good I tried. Always try, folks.

Cheers.

When making the hand-drawn sprites for To Loose Your Way, I ended up drawing them all on this single piece of paper.

Done. Huzzah.

It's 100% done tomorrow. All I have to do is figure out a credits page and some aesthetic stuff. There's not going to be any audio, though. More info in the upcoming devlog as to why, but in short: doing so is beyond my current skillset.

Having trouble with finding and editing sound effects. It's my first time using 'organic' sounds, and it's an absolute drag. So in short: I'm afraid I'm not quite out of the woods just yet.

I did however finish the new ending dialogue, in addition to starting work on its visuals.

Back on track. Added new dialogue for all NPCs (except the Huntsman) after the gun is obtained. Aiming to have the rest finished by the end of the week, preferably the 14th.

I guess you could say I had some kind of epiphany recently.

I think I'll be talking less.

Got most of the bugs ‘n stuff done:

- Npc stop one tile ahead of you
- Fonts no longer change when buying from Merchant
- Options, etc. have a very short delay before they can be clicked (prevents accidental selection, etc.)
- Options properly disappear
- Lamp oil gives 8 sec instead of 5

I’ll be posting my progress on updating “To Loose Your Way” here as to hold myself accountable. Just small things today:
- fixed crash with killing critters
- breaking vines gives twigs
- Gun can break vines; cost increased
- campfire won‘t restore stamina during the beast fight
- other small tweaks

It's cool to make everything yourself when making a game.
But the downside is, well, you have to make 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 yourself...

I recently submitted a game (To Loose Your Way) to a jam, and wasn’t expecting much. I screwed up with my time management: it has no audio, no start screen, and a bad crash.

But to my surprise, I’ve only gotten positive comments. People love it, and can’t wait to see it finished.

How strange…

I recently made a new game for the Scream Jam (To Loose Your Way), and I learnt a lot. It was my first time making a game with edited pictures instead of digitally drawn sprites, which was neat. It was also a fun challenge to make a 3D feel with only 2D assets.

I do regret my poor time management..

It’s curious how strongly inspiration can hit you out of nowhere. All I did was forget to leave the lights on, and suddenly I’m staying up ‘til 5 AM, writing down idea after idea.

I like when dance is used as a metaphor for control, especially the loss or surrender of it. Imagine two characters--A and B--waltz together with A taking the lead. This puts A in a potion of power over B; A has control.

Now the fun part is B's reaction. Do they dance along, or try to pull away?

What? You're telling me I finished something without an external force telling me to? That's ridiculous.

Added A Tutorial (Amongst other things)
After some delay, I've updated the game, adding some small changes and fixing some bugs. I've learned quite a bit from this project, and the feedback I got for it (mostly to add proper tutorials and t...

I like joining game jams because, due to the time limit, there just isn't any time to procrastinate. Now, I'm trying to make a small update(mostly tutorial stuff) to my last jam game(The R.A.M. Project) and my productivity has gone down to about 5%.

I'll get it done...
..eventually...
