Stores quite often put up speculative pricing, it happens with all "consoles". It's a nothing burger.

That's not what happened though, a few existing vendors did them and sold them themselves and Valve just listed them. This is entirely different, this is Valve's own hardware.

You answered your own question, Valve has announced nothing. Nothing.

These sites always have a markup, because Valve doesn’t sell through them.

Some random Czech store that has never been Valve authorized puts up pricing that isn’t confirmed anywhere

Does bring up a good point: this is going to be another nice boost for Flatpak / Flathub - and so Linux desktop overall on app support.

Put it up on Flathub - it's available nearly everywhere.
