...oh. Wow. Huh. Those sure are something.
I'm impressed that the pics I found are solidly either Fallout or 'retrofutureism with just a hint of Empire' in their aesthetics.

"Want" is a strong word, but I suspect it will be outsourced to the same Indian tech companies that stop 'self-driving' Teslas from running over pedestrians. At least this lot is being honest about the human behind the robot.

Well you see, in 5 years they'll have cracked that pesky autonomous AI problem and then we won't need the human operator any more. Think of all the money future you will save! /s

We straight up ditched closets entirely for the kids. All their clothes live in wash baskets on a garage shelf in their room. One for tops, one for bottoms, one for jumpers etc. If it doesn't all fit in there you either need to fold/rearrange them or get rid of enough so that it does all fit again.

Generally pads are a better bet over tampons, since more people can use them. If you can afford hypo-allergenic or more "earth friendly" (eg unbleached), that's a great thing to donate, as a surprising amount of people have reactions to "normal" pads. But it's def optional.

That feels like the most reasonable response tbh.

Well, if you take a saw to about halfway through the wood before you take the swing, like we used to do with the sacrificial chairs deployed during the grand melee when one of the (fully armoured!) knights had a bit planned, that *might* work. But otherwise that hockey stick ain't breaking.

For us an electric kettle is part safety - automatic shut off when it's done or empty is a godsend when you have this much ADHD in the house. But we're Aussie so ours work faster than US ones too.

I suspect the context is tiny parasitic water snails (very common in watercress and related greens), but you never know, it might turn you into Swamp Thing.

It's not the most accessible option, but I find swimming helps. I'm either watching my kid so they don't drown and having fun with them, or I'm so occupied with not drowning while doing laps that I can't think of anything else.

It's a way for forensic scientists to study how human remains decompose under various conditions. This helps them get more accurate data for things like estimating time of death at crime scenes.

That felt so out of left field I had to look it up and holy cow. Didn't know that, not sure what I'm going to do now I do, but sure feeling some things about the obvious brand recognition shenanigans going on there.

Yes. Workers in overseas garment factories are often paid as little as $2 for a 16-18 hour work day.

It depends on the job, but I know many people who have success using capsule wardrobe principles and go a bit heavier on the accessories to make 'new' outfits out of a limited number of base items. It's not a wholesale solution, but it's a start.
