The IDF absolutely did not invent Shooting And Crying, for a start.
Also they're what, just following orders?

If you wanted to build a much smaller AI application based on an existing LLM project, your easiest path would be to delete the LLM code and start over. I'm serious.

Forget the giant infrastructure, could you see AI that's efficient enough to run on a smaller footprint, or locally?
Yes! That already exists! It's called The Stuff We Had Already. Predictive text, grammar check, scheduling assistants, all that. They can't be leftover because they were always here.

Those are quite expensive for an individual user, but viable for an organization to pay for bulk licenses, that kind of thing.
Would those people and organizations still pay if the service cost 100-1000 times more? For a service they're not already using?

The fixed costs of training and infrastructure imo are too high for a medium-sized company to deploy a product with 100,000 specialty users that need it for their job.
Think of something like Adobe's subscription model for Photoshop, or a scientific journal that sells access to universities.

LLMs as they exist now are too expensive.
LLM development has been geared toward hyperscaling for years. They're so expensive to train and run that they can only be profitable with a huge number of users. (That number has not been found, and may exceed the population of Earth btw.)

The use cases don't exist.
The tech sector has put unprecedented amounts of time, cocaine, money, ketamine, Adderall, and money into finding a use case for LLMs, and they've failed.

The people's house with a malignant golden cancer growing off it, it's not even symbolism anymore, it's just happening. The real world is being invaded by the world of forms and we need to strike back before it's too late

"But, the History!"
The only kind of history I'm more interested in than old government buildings is literally any other kind, I simply Cannot Care
