I find this time of year exactly this. I've got a great family and group of friends, but always find it a dark time. It may be the shear weight of needing to consume and have a good time from a long way out, not sure. Solidarity to those who find it hard, whether you know your reasons or not.

If time and weather allows, I'd recommend hiring a bike and ride along the beach front, and maybe a dip in the bath house (if you're feeling brave).

Prince and his family were reported to be dicks towards Sinead. To the point that they refused to give permission to use that song for a posthumous documentary on her life. Again, dicks.
