Yes, fair. The disgruntlement towards OAOs definitely exists though, because it is an obstacle to the glorious full renationalisation. Expect more of this: services supposedly axed to improve reliability, have to leave headway for privately-run OAO services, etc.

Reading between the lines, this feels like someone at the ORR playing politics. They don’t like the open access operators’ continued existence. They cull this totemic service, to predictable outrage, blaming it on Lumo.

The statists are emboldened. We’re going to see a lot more of this now.

Well, I imagine they would be the type that - seeing a white face - would point at the sign, potentially even if I’d already asked for a table. The presence of my Chinese husband would create further confusion.
