And the conclusion that experiencing and weathering life's challenges can leave us "cracked" but through those cracks our selves shine out and we can see into each other, that moved me.

It was not subtle but sometimes I like a YA book smashing me over the head with its message, I can be kinda dense

I really liked it. It made me teary but not for the reason I expected.

Enjoyed the theme about people making poor windows, in the sense that our images of other people can get in the way of really seeing and understanding them.

3) Commentating my actions while I'm point, my thought process, what I'm noticing about the opponent, helps communicate the strategy of the game in a tangible way. Calling out for assists/tags/breaks is both teaching and a shared moment of triumph when it works.

2) Sharing losses is huge. Learning to not only handle losing but embrace it is I think one of the biggest barriers to getting into fighting games.

By playing duos it's not completely on his ego if we lose, and I can show by example that losing is not all that bad. We can laugh it off together.

1) Explaining how to anti air, having him do it in training mode, talking about how often players like to jump, that's all good.

But showing in a live match how to look for jumps and make the opp want to jump, and then tagging him in and seeing him naturally land his first antiair, was so hype.

There's a moment in that arc where the king uses an ability that we've seen before, but on a scale so extreme that it's blinding.

That's a good metaphor for the Chimera Ant arc in the context of Hunter X Hunter as a whole. It comes together so perfectly that it eclipses the rest of the series.
