I forgot to post about us seeing The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show last week!
It was so hilarious and wink-wink nudge-nudge throughout with a real gutpunch of earnestness at the end. Such a joy to see two experts in their craft live.
Also there were hot dancers of all genders. 🙂↕️

When my husband had a stroke earlier this year, it was looking at first like he may not walk again.
I had gone downstairs for a coffee and when I came back up, he was movin around on a walker with a nurse in the ICU hallway and it just filled my heart. 🥹

I probably would have struggled to pick one prior to this year, but I can now definitively say the annoying robot-human-Nopon-girl from the Xenoblade 3 DLC, Ino. SOOO annoying to listen to.

I beat a game!
Metroid is my favorite series and Prime 4: Beyond is beyond disappointing.
I had a lot to say but ultimately, this game introduces too many things that are not only antithetical to Metroid's DNA, but that would feel unfun or dated in any series.
Spoiler-free +/- review to follow.

I beat a game!

I am surprised Marvel Rivals is that high since I haven't played it in a few months, and I really thought Theatrhythm would be higher. But this was mostly a Switch 2 year for me I think overall.
Took me a second to realize these are only trophies earned this year. 🤭

Almost definitely a Pokémon, probably Togedemaru. Maybe a Swadloon or Charjabug instead though.

My parents divorced when I was young and part of the custody agreement was alternating Christmas.
It devastated my mom to not see us on Christmas, so "Christmas" became what we called whichever day we were able to all be together, sometimes weeks before or after the 25th.

This year we're doing ham but there's never been a consistent food tradition for me. Growing up I had a lot of American-Chinese food for Christmas and lately I think steak has been the most common.
