Pearl Harbor Day is a little piece of our direct history here at Garnett's. We're named for Garnett Beckman. Born in Newport News in 1907, Garnett grew up on a farm in Dunnsville. She took a teaching position in Honolulu in the late 1930s, where she met her future husband.

Our corner! Frank Chiocca's "Chiocca's Park Avenue" was here from 1964-2004. Rueben Vranian's "Park Avenue Inn" had just closed after a 30 year run.
