I suspect the players feel that weightiness in the Premier League too, would certainly go some way towards explaining the difference in attacking fluidity in Europe vs Prem. I already fear we won't see such attacking fluency against Man U on Sunday... 😖

Such a different experience watching Arsenal in the CL to the PL this year. Even games against biggest European teams feel like an opportunity for team to play and express themselves, knowing a few dropped points are fairly inconsequential, whereas EVERY PL game feels so weighty and tense...

Likewise Arsenal have struggled much more against even mid/lower-table English sides this year (e.g. Forest, Sunderland) than they have against the best European teams like Bayern, Atletico and Inter 🤷 Can only think the big teams will improve when it comes to the Champs League knock-out rounds...

How have Spurs gotten such an easy draw on the Champions League?!? Only one game against a current top 8 team (PSG) but four against bottom 8 teams (Bodo, Villarreal, Slavia, Copenhagen)!! Arsenal have had three against top 8 teams, by comparison. Reward for winning the Europa League last year?!

It's a good choice, I can't say I've missed X much since moving moreso over here, and I definitely don't miss lining that lunatic Musk's pockets (especially since he now appears to be actively encouraging sex pests... 🤮)
